As this blog entry will be incorporated in our last newsletter of this school year I thought it would be helpful to set out our published plans for next year.

We will be offering 3 musicals and dance workshops, and we have other plans in the pipeline.

  • Jump To It! follows in the footsteps of Rev It Up! and Jungle Bungle.  It's is a literacy focused musical with a PHSE storyline.  In this story  schoolgirl Claire is addicted to her computer game, to the detriment of her studies and friendships.  When she finds herself sucked in to the game carrying a bag of books, only the characters in those stories can save her.  The show is available all year.
  • West End Pantomania is our first panto-musical, and uses a similar format to our other shows.  Two children are in a right old Christmas pickle trying to put on Cinderella, and take inspiration from some contemporary and classic Christmas texts.
  • Ready Steady Go is perfectly timed to help you study the Olympics at school.  Jonno has a solid gold ambition – to be crowned champion of something. Anything! The challenge is to find out what exactly he may be able to shine at.  This show will bring literature, music and verse in to a story about a child striving to succeed - and will be a wonderful addition to your summer term.
  • Our new Dance Workshops have just begun visiting schools, and will be available year round from now on.  We use dance as a storytelling method, as it is used in ballet, dace theatre and musicals, and our choreographers, through a dance assembly and class workshops, will inspire your children to use their imagination, intelligence and bodies simultaneously.

You can reserve and book dates for all of these visits now, so please feel free to telephone or write if you would like more information.  Our online booking form is available here.

Shortly we hope to announce some INSET workshops based around both drama and dance, but we're still working on this and will let you know as soon as our plans are confirmed.

Enjoy the rest of this term, and have a wonderful summer holiday!
