Theatre in Education

Our Shows

Our Theatre in Education shows are the only ones performed by highly talented West End and television actors.

The shows are original musicals written specifically for primary school children and the writer and performers are passionate about bringing the highest quality productions to schools throughout the country.

They are performed by teams of two West End actors playing schoolchildren, who in the course of their adventures interact with the best of classic and contemporary children’s literature.

Each theatre in education show is appropriate from Reception to KS2, and we perform to groups of 250 at a time, dividing larger schools into sequential performances.

  • We want to inspire a love of books and reading and this has really helped to get us off to a great start. This production kept all the children enthralled for the whole hour. When you consider some children were on their second week in full time schooling, this is exceptional!
  • It was good to focus in on key books that everyone was familiar with. A lively way to mark Book Week.
  • I have never before had an outside company who could 'mesmerise' the whole school for a whole hour. The staff spent much of the time enjoying the children's reactions and being amazed by the level of engagement from children from 4yrs to 11yrs in one room.
  • This show really captured the children's attention and made them keen to read the books that were used in the production.
  • The actors were exciting and engaging and the performance was very active.
  • The best musical theatre I have seen in schools in the last 30 years.
  • Using the four books was a brilliant way to interest and motivate our readers. Classes worked with these stories beforehand which helped and the children were amazed to see one of the characters with the same books! They returned from the show and I had the best writing from them of the whole term!
  • The strong link between the drama and the books made the show more enjoyable and extended the learning experiences for all children.
  • I feel all tingly. I know now that is is okay to be different.
  • Want a show that will appeal from Reception all the way up to Year 6? Rev it Up! is the one!!
  • This performance successfully tackles issues met by all children. The lively and interactive delivery, combined with the wonderful choice of books gives the show a distinctive quality.
  • All children at every age were captivated by the show. The themes that can be used from the show are endless.
  • An inspiring, thought-provoking show full of humour!
  • A lively and entertaining production with a serious message for the children to learn from. The children’s attention was kept throughout.
  • I wanted to personally say how amazing the Jungle Bungle performance was. A week on and the children are still talking about it. They have been singing and dancing in the playground to the music and many of the staff have commented that it was the best performance we have had in school.
  • Jungle Bungle was a fun, enjoyable treat with an excellent standard of acting and singing.
  • The message in the story is very good and gets the children thinking. The performance is engaging and exciting: a brilliant morning!

Jump to It!

Literacy, PHSCE and Music - September 2011 to July 2012

Jump to It! Jump to It!

“Where am I and how did and I get here?  And where is Oliver?”  Claire’s mind was full of questions, the biggest one of all being ‘How do I get home?” She was learning the hard way that a thoughtless word or action can lead someone into all kinds of trouble.  It was going to take some kind of a miracle for her to get back home before anyone realised she was missing.  And the crazy thing was she went missing AT HOME, sucked somehow through the computer game in to a virtual world where anything could happen, especially as nobody knew who was at the controls

Join Claire on a new musical adventure as she looks for a way out and finds all manner of unexpected characters to help her along.  This brand new, original show is written and performed by the best the professional industry can bring to schools. It will inspire and involve students of all ages in books and reading while looking at how important it is to consider the thoughts and feelings of those around you.

JUMP TO IT! is a positive story of how books can contribute to our personal development, a cautionary tale of becoming too involved in the digital world but most of all a wonderful celebration of friendship told in a way that appeals to all ages.

The characters of our story are informed and inspired by the four books below.

Ready Steady Go

Ready Steady Go Ready Steady Go

Jonno has a solid gold ambition – to be crowned champion of something. Anything! The challenge is to find out what exactly he may be able to shine at.

And to complicate matters every time he thinks he may have the answer  Claire is there; Claire, who has an annoying habit of turning up and competing against him. To make matters worse it seems Claire has the ability to bring books to life to assist her which Jonno thought was his special advantage.

These two go head to head, involving the audience in an interactive musical romp that propels the pair of them across the world and throughout the ages.

Get ready to cheer, sing, dance and get involved as everyone rushes towards the moment we hear the announcement ‘And The Winner Is…’

Ready Steady Go is perfectly timed to help you study the Olympics in school and the production refers to the five books below.
