Little Mouse's Big Book of Fears, by Emily Gravett

  • List all the fears/phobias that are mentioned in the book.  Hold a survey in the class to see how many children have similar fears.  See if you can add others to the list and research if it has a proper ‘phobia’ name
  • Write or act out a story in which you (or a friend) has to face and overcome something that you are particularly afraid of
  • Make a class collage of your class’s fears – you can use the wonderful design of Little Mouse’s Big Book of Fears to inspire unusual and exciting ways to create the collage.
  • What might a Big Book of Fears be for other creatures?  Create such a book for eg. a cat, a fox, a lion, an elephant.
