A Midsummer Term’s Treat

Shakespeare Workshops Reviews

This week some post arrived that had the whole office smiling from ear to ear! We were lucky enough to receive an envelope from Four Marks Church of England Primary School stuffed with hand written letters from their Year 5 and 6 children, responding to our workshops with them earlier this term.

The classes had taken part in a day of A Midsummer Night’s Dream workshops that culminated in each class performing what they had been working on to each other.

These workshops are designed to allow primary school children to access the stories of Shakespeare in a way that is both meaningful and enjoyable. And if the feedback from the children at Four Marks is anything to go by, they were lots of fun and then some!

We absolutely loved reading these letters and are always keen to hear what children think of our work! If you want to share what your class thought of their workshop we would love to see it.You can find us on twitter @WestEndinSchool or get in touch with our office

If you fancy treating your class to some Shakespeare why not take a look at our Shakespeare Today workshops? Or head over to our ‘Guide to Teaching Shakespeare’ blog series for some top tips!
