School Visits Programme 2019/20

School Visits 2019/20

The new school year is upon us! And we are excited about what this year holds.

From the dancing our way through Roald Dahl Day to taking pause on Armistice Day to reflect with poetry - there’s plenty to get involved with.

Some of the Autumn Term highlights include:

  • Diwali 27th October. Diwali is a 5 day long festival celebrated by thousands of people in countries around the world. The festival marks the start of the Hindu New Year. Every year we celebrate The Festival of Lights by visiting primary schools across the country with our dance workshop based on The Ramayana.

  • Anti-Bullying week W/C 11th November. Anti-Bullying Alliance’s theme for this week’s Anti-Bullying Week is ‘change starts with us’. This theme is in place to highlight that everyone can make a change and that even the smallest act of kindness can have a huge impact! And what better way to encourage discussions and to ignite change than with an explorative, team building drama workshop?

  • Pantomime Season: December to January. Panto season is one of our favourite times of year - oh yes it is! A Christmas pantomime can be a brilliant moment to inspire children and it is a perfect moment to give all children the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre. We are visiting schools with a choice of 5 pantomimes with specially written scripts and plenty of joining in!
